Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the workshop journal

A red Jeep, a rooftop tent and two seasons of passes and wild camps. This autumn it goes into the workshop to become what it was already hinting at: a home that travels far.

A Jeep for sleeping up high

No workshop history yet, but plenty of memories. The red Rubicon carries its tent on the roof and an awning on its side: all it takes is stopping in the right place.

Above a lake, below a limestone wall, at the edge of a forest or in the Jura, the ladder unfolds and the night begins.

Season 2026

Passes, tunnels and wild camps

Summer 2026 sees it everywhere: outside the Hotel Belvédère on the Furka road, coming out of a rock-cut tunnel, in a high valley where evening falls on the tent.

At night, only its lights brighten the end of the valley. Each outing has its own travel journal.

Autumn 2026

At Mick's Offroads

This autumn, the Jeep goes into the Mick's Offroads workshop in Neuchâtel. The plan took shape over many exchanges: go further, for longer, carrying more, without losing any agility.

Suspension first: an Old Man Emu +65 mm kit, heavy-duty front springs, rear springs rated for a 300 kg constant load and BP-51 shocks, with the gross weight raised to 3,256 kg. At the back, an XL “Full Track” extension with body-coloured corners, and AERO rails on each side for four Maxtrax. On the left flank, an Alu-Cab 270° awning.

Up front, a bumper with skid plate and a Superwinch winch. Along the sides, Rockslide electric steps. At the rear, a reinforced Teraflex spare-wheel carrier holding a Titan Trail Trekker tank of about 45 litres, with extensions for the third brake light and the camera, and a removable towball. The jerrycan holders will wait for a later stage.
