The 5 lakes walk, facing the Matterhorn
A breakdown of the Chevy on the Furka road, late on a Friday afternoon, and an idea: "What if we went up to Zermatt?" The perfect opportunity for a walk we had dreamed of for a long time: the five lakes facing the Matterhorn, in ideal weather.

The Stellisee and the moraine
A dream come true
The Stellisee, with the Berghaus Fluhalp behind: an idea for spending a night there one day, it must be magical. We arrive early to enjoy the Matterhorn's reflection, that perfect rock. A touch of cotton grass, impossible to walk past without a photo, and a little spritz to celebrate this first climb properly.
Then the moraine of the Findel glacier, gigantic. A bit of peace, since most tourists don't climb it, and they miss this. The glacier is melting, melting, melting, the rock is eroding, and always, facing us, him.
The other four lakes
From the Grindjisee to the Leisee
The second lake, the Grindjisee, adorable: that green after so much mineral, and the little reflection, bingo. Again, few people, almost just us.
The third, the Grünsee, where you can swim if you have time. The fourth, the Moosjisee, a reservoir. And the fifth, the Leisee, seen from its shore, very pretty too. A fine finish.
