An explosion of greens

Around the Bäderhorn clockwise, a mint tea at the Grosse Bäder alp, then straight up to the summit cross on steep grassy slopes typical of the area. The final ridge turns out entirely manageable.

Brilliant greens, those distinctive limestone rocks, old galleries cut into the cliff, and a somewhat hazy view of the Bernese Alps and the pretty Jaun pass. A day that does you good and makes you want to come back.
