The Tovassière valley
A spring that lingers
In early June, the pastures are covered in orchids and purple flowers facing the Dents du Midi. The stream tumbles down the Tovassière valley between the rhododendrons.
Higher up, spring hasn't finished its work: long snowfields still block the path, crossed with care.
The lakes
Chésery and Lac Vert
Lac de Chésery appears, still edged with snow, then Lac Vert in its hollow. Dark water, an immense sky.
And flowers everywhere: mountain avens on the rocks, gentians, globeflowers, globularia, violets, anemones. Simply paradise.
